My Favorite – Buttermilk Pie

Buttermilk pie

1 1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp cornmeal
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 9-inch unbaked pie crust

Oven at 350. Stir sugar and cornmeal together. Add eggs, butter, buttermilk, and vanilla; blend well. Pour into pie crust. Bake 40-45 minutes.

Use this in conjunction with my brother’s pie crust and Jack Daniel’s Whipped Cream recipes.
