I have been looking at the pictures of Tim Stanley and Trey Ratcliff over the past couple of months. Both photographers’ pictures are inspiring and planted the desire for me to get a nice camera so that I could maybe take some cool photos too! When I found out that I am going to Israel next year, I decided that there was no better time than the present to start learning in order to get some great pictures next year.
After some research, I decided to go with a Nikon D5100 with 18-55mm and 55-300mm zoom lens. Since picking up this camera, I have enjoyed taking some great pictures with color and clarity that I never knew I would be able to produce.
I would highly recommend this camera and lens combination. In the future, I would love to get the 12-24mm Extreme Wide Angle Lens made by Nikon for those indoor shots that I will be faced with in Israel.
All of the pictures in my Gallery were taken with the Nikon D5100 except for the Africa pictures.
